Tarangire is one of the best-known and most popular national parks of Tanzania’s northern circuit. On this one-day safari, you can immerse yourself in its magical scenery: savannah, dotted with mystical baobab trees and the majestic Tarangire River. Tarangire is known for its large herds of elephants roaming the park. But you can also spot buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, warthogs and the beautiful waterbuck antelope.

Arusha National Park
Arusha National Park is a stunning and diverse national park located in northern Tanzania, near the city of Arusha. It is one of the smaller national parks in Tanzania but is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, rich biodiversity, and proximity to Mount Meru. The park covers an area of approximately 137 square kilometers (53 square miles), and home to Mount Meru, the second-highest mountain in Tanzania, standing at 4,566 meters (14,980 feet). The mountain is an active stratovolcano and offers challenging hiking opportunities, with stunning views from the summit.


Ngorongoro Crater
The Ngorongoro Crater offers some of the best wildlife viewing in Africa. The main predators are lion and spotted hyena, but leopard is regularly seen as well. The resident population of black rhinos is a very big attraction, as rhinos are more difficult to spot elsewhere in Tanzania. The crater is also home to a good number of old elephant bulls with massive tusks. These lone giants tend to be super relaxed around vehicles, which can result in very special sightings.
The Ngorongoro Crater is without a doubt Tanzania’s most productive Big Five destination. The crater floor teems with wildlife, and predator sightings tend to be exceptional. It harbors the world’s densest lion population and spotted hyenas are equally common. Look out for smaller carnivores, such as golden and black-backed jackals and bat-eared foxes. If you’re lucky, you might also see a serval hunting small rodents or birds.
